Sports Markets & Bet Types
The fact that there aren’t as many sports available here as at perhaps, say, William Hill, isn’t too much of an issue as there’s still a good number of options supported. All the most common markets in football, tennis, golf and cricket are well covered, and there are also a few more niche markets, such as eSports, Australian Rules and GAA Hurling available. The real issue is regarding the coverage of these sports, however, as apart from football – where there’s a top selection of competitions available for betting – there’s nowhere near the same number of betting markets you find at some of the more established sites.

Football, being the main market for punters in the UK, is of course stacked with a whole range of leagues and competitions from all around the world, including age-group tournaments and women’s competitions. You won’t, for instance, find the same number of daily horse or greyhound races as you would at some of the more renowned bookies. Also, for sports such as golf, rugby and even tennis, you won’t find the same volume of tournaments to bet on, and match bets aren’t always as readily available – the same applies for rugby and darts.
In-Play Betting and Live Streaming
While the operator does have a live betting platform, live streams are something that is not currently offered as a part of the service. We’ll taking a good look at the in-play area and all of its features over on our complete Genting Bet live betting review page.
Multiples Betting Options
Multiples betting options are well looked after at Genting Bet, with the operator allowing you to add up to 15 different selection to your bet slip. With this, you’re able to make giant accumulator bets of up to 15 folds, and also choose between a range of multiples bet types such as the Lucky 31, the Super Yankee and the Heinz.
When you start adding multiple selections to your bet slip you’ll notice that it the selections themselves are divided from top to bottom: singles at the top, multiples at the bottom. This allows you keep your singles separate from your multiples bets and see exactly how much your potential earnings are from each.
Bet & Win Limits
Unfortunately, when it comes to betting limits, Genting Bet fall quite some way below the mark. The lower betting limits aren’t a problem as punters are able to wager as little as 1p on individual betting markets. The maximum winnings, however, are capped at £100,000, which is considerably lower than online bookmakers such as William Hill that set their maximum at a whopping £2million. Here you can see that the bookie will have to make some serious improvements in the future if they are to compete with the very best in this area.
Odds Levels 7
Truth be told, the odds levels at Genting Bet are ok, but not really anything worth getting too excited about. There are some sports in which the numbers are good, such as for darts and cricket where they peak at 94.90 and 94.91% respectively. On average, though, they are some way below the best in the business.
Odds Levels for the Largest Sports Markets
- Cricket93.12 - 94.91%
- Boxing91.38 - 92.86%
- Tennis92.36 - 94.22%
- Ice Hockey88.81 - 92.76%
- Rugby Union90.01 - 92.24%
- Darts93.01 - 94.90%
- Horse racing78.83 - 89.82%
- Greyhounds73.04% – 77.80%
- Return to Player (%)
If you’re on the hunt for an online bookmaker with some really outstanding odds prices, we’d recommend checking out BetVictor, where the prices for football reach as high as 98%, or Betfair where the in-play prices peak at 94.6%.
The Genting Bet Platform 7
The Genting Bet platform has been developed by the FSB software company, a busisness dedicated to supplying top-quality sportsbook solutions. You can see that they’ve done a good job here as when you first land on the site you’ll notice the clean, aesthetic design and the logical layout, which makes using the sportsbook a real pleasure. On the left-hand side of the screen you’ll find quick links to the most popular betting markets on the site; just below this you’ll see the list of available football icons, and just below this is the full list of a-z sports markets. The main toolbar icon at the very top-left corner of the screen provides quick links to the promotions page, the blog page, the betting rules and info relating to customer support, while the menus located to right of this allow you to navigate between the Live Casino, Casino and Slots platforms.
The in-play area looks and operates just the same as the pre-match betting area and can be accessed in two ways. You can click the IN-PLAY menu located just above the QUICK LINKS section at the top of the screen, which will give you a complete overview of all the sports currently in-play and those due to start later in the day. Or, alternatively, the middle section of the homepage also allows you to view and click on all the upcoming and underway live betting markets on the site.

The Genting Bet Business
Genting is a Malaysian-owned casino brand that was first launched way back in 1965. Since then it has risen to become one of the best-known casinos in the UK and world, with 47 branches in Britain and active operations in the Americas, Australasia, Asia and the United Kingdom, as well as thriving businesses in the tourism, resorts and cruise sectors. In 2014 the group launched its online sportsbook and has been expanding its service ever since.

Business owner, Lim Kok Thay, has commented that the company expansion was a seamless and natural progression, now sitting nicely alongside the already-famous, online casino, slots and live casino platforms. Lucky customers of Genting Bet are now able to keep all their betting pursuits together under one, big Genting Bet-branded roof.
Customer support is something that’s taken very seriously at Genting Bet. The company have an email support service (which we recommend using for some of the more technical queries) and also a telephone call back service and live customer chat support. The live chat feature is by far the best option if you’re looking for a fast solution to a common troubleshooting issue.
Licensing & Security7
Genting Bet has been issued a full license from the UK Gambling Commission, which means that you can Gamble with full assurance that you’re receiving a fair and legitimate service. They also uphold their commitment to promoting safe and responsible gambling by working closely with GambleAware. Regarding internet security, all the online products – including the mobile services – are protected by the GlobalSign Internet Group, meaning you never have to worry about your sensitive, personal details falling into the wrong hands.
Not Too Many Bonus Points
It’s pretty safe to say that we were disappointed with Genting Bet’s performance here in the bonus points department. Because of the old sponsorship deal with Premiership Football club Aston Villa, as well as the extra markets and the extra bonuses and promotions, the operator managed to chalk up a respectable three from a possible five points in the respective areas. However, with no live streams and no awards for the sports betting service, Genting Bet were unable to score any more points, meaning that they ended up with a meagre 3/10 overall.

Genting Bet – A Limited Service
In the end Genting Bet didn’t manage to dazzle us in any of our major testing areas, and only really justified a pretty mediocre score. There are some good areas worth noting, such as the quality customer service and the sleek platform, however, there are a number of features missing here that you would really expect to see in a top-quality online betting site.

When you look and see that there are no live streams, no in-play cash-out, limited coverage of both in-play and pre-match sports markets and no in-play graphics, it becomes clear that the service here is not bad, per se, but definitely limited. There is potential there, but the operator will have to make some improvements in the future if it wants to compete with the very best.
