A Review of the Genting Bet Live Betting Platform

In an effort to offer punters a complete service, Genting Bet have developed a fully-functioning live betting platform as part of their sportsbook. In truth, though, you can tell that the company is, by trade, a casino operator, as the in-play opportunities here are limited to say the least. The site looks great and functions well, however if you’re on the hunt for a solid selection of live streams and a solid range of extra features, you’ll have to wait until the site has had some time to further develop the console.

The table above gives you a very quick rundown of the features on the Genting Bet live betting service. The full details, however, can be found here in our complete review. Keep reading to discover more.

Live Betting Features 6

The Genting Bet in-play platform boasts a clean, aesthetic design, and is just as easy to navigate as the main desktop site. All the fixtures currently underway are featured at the top of the page and are neatly arranged in order of sport under the different tabs. Just below you’ll see all the events due to start later in the day listed and also arranged in order of sport. Unfortunately, though, as we briefly alluded to earlier, the live betting service here at Genting Bet is extremely limited.

The Live Betting Features
Football Tennis Basketball Darts Cricket
Correct Score Match Winner  Match Result  Match Result  Method of Dismissal
Total Goals  Set 1 Correct Score Handicaps  Handicap Winner Total Runs
Half Time Score  Total Sets  Total Points Correct Score Race to 100
Handicaps  Total Games Winning Margin Match 180’s Batsman Markets
Interval Winners Correct Set Score  Half Markets Total 180’s Over/Under Runs

While there are over 10 different sports markets that are available for betting in-play, the average number of fixtures made available per day is pretty low; much lower than top-ranked online bookmakers such as Coral or Ladbrokes. To add to this, there’s no in-play cashout, no live streams, no in-play graphics, and the average number of bets per fixture – even for major European football clashes – is extremely low when compared to the best in the business.

No Live Streams

As previously mentioned, live streams are currently unavailable at Genting Bet. We hope that the bookmaker has plans to add the feature to their service in the not too distant future.

Live Scores and Stats

You’ll notice that the only features on the Genting Bet in-play platform are live scores and statistics. They appear at the very top of the screen in the form of an electronic scoreboard and provide regular updates on only the most important match events such the current score and the amount of time elapsed. Unlike some of the better live betting consoles that go into considerable detail – sometimes telling you what the weather is like, who the referee is, how many people are attending every time there’s a break in play – here, unfortunately, you’re only given the bare minimum.

Very Limited In-play Service

All in all, we think it’s pretty fair to say that we were a little disappointed with Genting Bet’s performance in the in-play department. Yes, it is true that they aren’t especially known for their exploits in the sports betting sector, but rather in the casino and gaming business. However, when we look at other operators that have made their name in the casino world, such as Mr Green and Grosvenor, that have still managed to get their live betting platforms up to scratch, it makes Genting Bet’s offering seem all the more underwhelming.

Pros and Cons of Genting Bet In-play Betting
  • Major Strengths
  • none
  • Minor Strengths

  • Major Weaknesses
  • no in-play cash out
  • Minor Weaknesses
  • no live streams

The one good thing about the live betting platform is that it looks good and functions very well, much the same as the main desktop platform. However, with no live streams, no in-play graphics, no in-play cahsout and limited daily fixtures and bet types, there really isn’t too much here worth getting excited about. Is the cashout feature still available for pre-match markets?

Yes, however unlike most betting sites you have to first make a cashout request, at which point it’s at the sole discretion of Genting Bet whether they accept or decline.
