A Review of the Grosvenor Live Betting Console
With in-play betting having dominated to the online betting market since it was first founded in the early 2000’s, it only makes sense that operators go out of their way to make sure they offer live-bets. Despite only having developed a sports betting platform in the last 12 months, Grosvenor have made sure that they offer their customers the full package with a top-rate live betting console, complete with a fantastic live ticker, fast odds updates, live stats and scores and competitive in-play prices.

The In-play Features 7
In total, Grosvenor offer somewhere in the region of 100-150 events every day that are available for live betting. This range includes popular markets such as football, tennis, cricket and golf, as well as a few less widely-followed sports such as cycling and basketball. When it comes to the betting markets, you’ll find that there are a great number of bets available, especially for the bigger fixtures. For football, for instance, you’ll find that for top-tier competitions such as the Premier League, the Bundesliga and the Champions League there are a number of slightly more inventive bet types that make in-play just that extra but more fun and exciting that pre-match betting. The same applies for the biggest, tennis, golf, cricket and even rugby league fixtures. However, for some of the less high-profile events, the selection of bets can be significantly lower, with only a handful of options to choose from.
|Summary of Live Betting Options|
|Both Teams to Score||Correct Score||Total Runs||Full Time||Handicaps|
|First to Score||Match Winner||Next Method of Dismissal||Next Goal||Deciding Frame?|
|Double Chance||Total Games||Most Sixes||Correct Score||First Colour Potted|
|Asian Handicaps||Next Set Winner||Batsman Specials||Half Time/Full Time||Match Winner|
|Correct Score||Games Handicap||Team to Win||Handicap||50 Break Frame|
Although they are by no means the best, the odds prices on offer here are indeed competitive. For tennis, for instance, highs of of 93.02% and 92.89% for tennis and cricket respectively, brings Grosvenor in line with the likes of Paddy Power and Betfred, two operators that have been in the in-play betting business for considerably longer. Although they have some work to do before they can be considered alongside the very best live betting operators, there’s more than enough here to convince us that the service will continue to go from strength to strength in the coming years.
At this moment in time, Grosvenor do not support live streams on their sports. Although this does mean that we’re left no little choice other than to dock them a few points in this department, we’ve been informed that this is something they’ll be looking to add to their service in the not too distant future.
Live Scores and Stats
Although it doesn’t quite make amends for the lack of live streams, the Grosvenor live betting console comes equipped with live stats and scores updates. When you arrive in the in-play console and select a fixture, you’ll notice that all the important match stats are in full view, along with a number of pre-match stats and some extensive form guides -available via the external link – that really make that extra difference when you want to place bets with more conviction. To add to this, there’s also a great live ticker that does a great job of keeping you up-to-date with all the latest goings on.
Good, But Room for Improvement
Overall, we were satisfied with the Grosvenor live betting console, however, there are some areas where the operator can make some improvements. The odds prices are competitive, and although the number of fixtures available for betting per day isn’t as high as say, William Hill, there’s still a good number of opportunities to wager on your favourite sports.
- Major Strengths
- plenty of betting options
- great in-play graphics
- Minor Strengths
- competitive odds
- live stats & scores
- Major Weaknesses
- Minor Weaknesses
- no live streams
When you throw in the first-rate in-play graphics and the stylish design of the platform itself, it becomes clear that you have all the makings of a good in-play service, however without a comprehensive live streaming service we were unable to award the operator perfect point a perfect score. Nonetheless, Grosvenor is still a great place to bet in-play. When exactly will Grosvenor be adding live streams to their in-play betting console?
We’re not entirely sure when Grosvenor will be expanding their service to incorporate live streams, however, keep your eyes peeled and keep checking back on the website to make sure you don’t miss out when the updates come!
