With the Champions League midweek fixtures giving Man City and Liverpool relatively easy victories against much weaker opposition and Tottenham a hard-fought draw at PSV, it was just Manchester United who failed to register any points as they capitulated to a dominant Juventus side at Old Trafford on Tuesday night. See what we think this means for the weekend matches and how the results may go.

  • Venue: Wembley Stadium
  • Monday 29 October 20:00
  • Referee: Kevin Friend
  • Quick Glance Odds H: 3/1 D: 14/5 A: 4/5

About the Game:

Both teams were in action this week in hard fought away Champions League fixtures. They will have a few days longer to recover so should be fully fit and ready to face their toughest test of the season.

Tottenham have been on strong form in the Premier League – seeing off their two previous opponents with a 1-0 win, the defense seems to have found it’s unity and Tottenham have begun to systematically bulldoze weaker teams in the Premier League. With star attacking players Harry Kane, Lucas Moura and Dele Alli all fully fit, it will be a matter of scoring goals on Monday, as their opponent will be pressuring high up the pitch and looking to dominate possession.

Man City are flying at the top of the table where they belong. Long been considered the best team in the Premier League by all experts and commentators. Their style of football is becoming iconic and after punishing several teams across Europe so far in the Champions League – they are looking to claim a big scalp in their domestic campaign as they travel to London on Monday.

Pep Guardiola will be very happy to have his midfield general, Kevin De Bruyne available for selection once again, his absence was not really felt due to the incredible strength in depth at Man City – but he will surely be involved heavily in a Man City victory should that happen.

Prediction: Man City Win – The return of KDB will certainly prove decisive, we can see Man City taking this match despite being away from home.

Rest of the Premier League Games

Fulham v Bournemouth

  • Venue: Craven Cottage
  • Saturday 27 October 15:00
  • Referee: Andre Marriner
  • Quick Glance Odds H: 9/5 D: 5/2 A: 11/8

About the Game:

Fulham are already beginning to feel the pressure and learn the hard way that simply outscoring your opponent doesn’t work as well in the Premier League as it did in the Championship. The team have conceded 25 goals in just 9 matches – this catastrophic defending needs to be fixed if they are to stand a chance this season. The good news is they have a very talented midfield and attack with plenty of threats going forward, namely Ryan Sessegnon, Alexander Mitrovic and Andre Schurrle.

Bournemouth have had an excellent start to their Premier League campaign, finding themselves sitting up the top of the table on 17 points they will be confident going into this game.

Prediction: Fulham Win – Fulham have dusted themselves down after a disappointing outing last week at Cardiff, and have shown the ability to score goals at the Cottage – it’s a must win for the West London outfit and we think they will respond well to the pressure.

Liverpool v Cardiff

  • Venue: Anfield Stadium
  • Saturday 27 October 15:00
  • Referee: Stuart Atwell
  • Quick Glance Odds H: 1/10 D: 8/1 A: 20/1

About the Game:

Liverpool continue their fantastic start to the season and will be riding a wave of confidence following the effortless victory over a weak opponent mid-week in the Champions League. Back at Anfield, they will be looking to brutalize a frail Cardiff that are very prone to conceding heavily.

Cardiff earned three points in a hard fought battle against Fulham last week, but Liverpool is an entirely different animal. This game will most likely be considered a write off for the fans, lets see how long Cardiff can keep their clean sheet for in this one.

Prediction: Liverpool -2.5 Asian Handicap – Liverpool are certainly going to dominate this game, start to finish. With Salah, Firmino and Mane all available, this is likely to be a rout.

Southampton v Newcastle

  • Venue: St. Mary’s Stadium
  • Saturday 27 October 15:00
  • Referee: Chris Kavanagh
  • Quick Glance Odds H: 1/1 D: 23/10 A: 11/4

About the Game:

Southampton have had a strong start to the season and see themselves sitting comfortably in the middle of the table. If they are to maintain their position as a team that never really struggle nor challenge for anything in this league, then losing this game is out of the question.

Newcastle have had a pretty shocking start to the season, picking up just 2 points in 9 matches it really is crisis point at the Northern giant. They were incredibly unlucky to throw away a 2 goal lead against Manchester United two weeks ago, and have proven they are capable of competing in this league in glimpses so far. Will they respond well to the pressure this weekend and deliver a much needed win? See below for our prediction.

Prediction: Both Teams To Score – Newcastle will be looking to take the lead in this game and we suspect they will get the goal, but will leave themselves vulnerable at the back during the process.

Watford v Huddersfield

  • Venue: Vicarage Road
  • Saturday 27 October 15:00
  • Referee: Mike Dean
  • Quick Glance Odds H: 3/4 D: 5/2 A: 15/4

About the Game:

Watford have started the season encouragingly, scoring lots of goals in the process. They find themselves sitting 7th in the table which is very sportive for a side operating on a low budget and with many home-grown players in their ranks.

Huddersfield are another outfit that are struggling to pick up points so far and find themselves near the bottom of the pile. It will be a very tough outing for them this weekend.

Prediction: Watford Win – Gap in quality is pretty obvious here and Watford are on a role at the moment.

Leicester v West Ham

  • Venue: King Power Stadium
  • Saturday 27 October 15:00
  • Referee: Michael Oliver
  • Quick Glance Odds H: 11/10 D: 23/10 A: 5/2

About the Game:

Leicester got tanned on Monday by a high-flying Arsenal side. It was a disappointing result for Leicester as they took an early lead in the game and looked at one point like they may cause an upset. Despite this, they are comfortably positioned mid-table and poised to climb to the top half if they can win this weekend.

West Ham have picked themselves up and secured a few points following their disappointing start to this league campaign. It will be a tough outing for them this weekend, but they will be confident that they can prevail.

Prediction: Leicester Win – West Ham are weak defensively and this should be a comfortable win for the Leicester.

Burnley v Chelsea

Chelsea Form Guide DWDWW
  • Venue: Turf Moor
  • Sunday 28 October 13:30
  • Referee: Craig Pawson
  • Quick Glance Odds H: 7/1 D: 15/4 A: 4/11

About the Game:

Burnley are typically a very solid outfit and are able to absorb pressure with their very strong a bulldozerish method of defending and seeing out matches. They also offer a threat going forward, looking to play very structured football and utilizing their big target men.

Maurizio Sarri is looking become the first Chelsea head coach to remain unbeaten throughout the first 10 PL matches of their career. It should be an easy task for Chelsea, they are in excellent from right now, with Hazard playing his best football week in week out, Chelsea are a very tough opponent.

Prediction: Chelsea Win – With players like Eden Hazard and Willian in the Chelsea line up, there really doesn’t seem to be any other outcome here.

Crystal Palace v Arsenal

  • Venue: Selhurst Park
  • Sunday 28 October 13:30
  • Referee: Martin Atkinson
  • Quick Glance Odds H: 3/1 D: 13/5 A: 17/20

About the Game:

Crystal Palace are an exciting team to watch and they can definitely put on a show in front of their home fans. But this will be a harder test, they are not going to be able to enjoy much possession or press highly like they tend to do against mid-level opponents.

Arsenal are absolutely rampant at the moment. They have been tearing apart the Premier League bottom half for a few weeks now, and this outing should no different. Aubameyang is free-scoring and the Gunners talisman Mesut Ozil is playing some of his best football in recent memory.

Prediction: Arsenal Win & Over 2.5 – We think this game will have goals and it is worth backing Arsenal to take the victory here given the recent form of the Gunners star players.

Man Utd v Everton
Man Utd Form Guide LDDDW
Everton Form Guide WWLWD
  • Venue: Old Trafford
  • Sunday 28 October 16:00
  • Referee: Jonathon Moss
  • Quick Glance Odds H: 13/20 D: 11/4 A: 17/4

About the Game:

Manchester United have been going through somewhat of a rough spell in recent weeks. Having been stuck in a bit of a rut of bad form. The fixture on Tuesday night at home against Juventus demonstrated how far they have fallen behind the pace of the worlds best clubs, as they were completely dominated for 90 mins despite the score remaining a rather modest 0-1.

Everton have played a very exciting brand of football this season. Often dominating teams with an intense, aggressive and direct style of football. Utilising the strengths of key players such as Richarlison, Sigurdsson and Walcott.

Prediction: Everton Double Chance – There could be an upset on the cards here, after the shaky home form of Man Utd this will be an excellent opportunity for a smash & grab from Everton.

Brighton v Wolverhampton
Brighton Form Guide DDWLL
Wolves Form Guide LWDLL
  • Venue: The American Express Community Stadium
  • Saturday 27 October 15:00
  • Referee: Anthony Taylor
  • Quick Glance Odds H: 19/10 D: 21/10 A: 6/4

About the Game:

Brighton have been enjoying the fantastic goal scoring form of their clinical striker, Glen Murray. The target man has been casuing defences trouble all season long and will be hoping to give Premier League new boys a run for their money this weekend.

Wolverhampton are an excellent side with a lot of raw talent and flair within their ranks. They have shown their quality countless times this season and it will be an interesting tactical match up between these two teams.

Prediction: Both Teams To Score – There will more than likely be a few goals scored this game and we think both sets of players will find the back of the net at some point.
