It’s week thirteen of the EPL, and we are back after an enthralling international break. What’s more Spurs have a new man in town, can Mourinho win his first game in charge?

It proves to be an interesting weekend with many teams refreshed and looking for victory. Liverpool face a tough test away at Palace, whilst Villa and Newcastle have a relegation showdown. Carry on reading to find out all our predictions for the weekend’s games.

Match of the Day

The best game of the week is the clash between two of the wealthiest teams in the league. This top four clash will be a chance for Chelsea to show they mean business, and could be a high scoring game.

Man City v Chelsea

  • Venue: Etihad Stadium
  • Saturday 23 November 17:30
  • Referee: Martin Atkinson
  • Quick Glance Odds H: 9/20 D: 4/1 A: 5/1

About the Game:

Man City lost against Liverpool last time out and are now nine points behind the leaders. They can ill afford falling further behind and will be itching to get a victory in this one. Sergio Aguero loves playing against Chelsea and has scored 10 goals against them in previous PL games.

City have won four home games in a row, and have the most PL goals at home with 19. This one looks like a potential goal fest with both teams boasting great firepower, but lacking at the back. City will be hoping that their home crowd can be the decisive factor, and the bookies seem to think they are heavy favourites.

Bet on Man City v Chelsea at Betway

Chelsea’s form in the Premier League is incredible. They have won six in a row, and love playing away from home. They have scored a whopping 18 goals on the road, which is the most in the league this season.

Chelsea will be looking for Christian Pulisic to carry on his scoring run. He has bagged five goals in the last three games and can become the first American to score in four games on the bounce. It’s hard to back either team here, and it depends which Chelsea team shows up. The youngsters have proven they can play well, can they do it this weekend?

Prediction: Over 4.5 goals – This is an ambitious bet, but one we see coming to fruition with these two high-scoring teams.

Rest of the Premier League Games

Here’s our previews and betting tips for all the rest of the weekend’s action.

  • Venue: London Stadium
  • Saturday 23 November 12:30
  • Referee: Michael Oliver
  • Quick Glance Odds H: 10/3 D: 16/5 A: 8/11

About the Game:

After an encouraging start, West Ham have faltered. They haven’t won in six games, and are in danger of being dragged into a relegation battle. They are still without Lukasz Fabianski and will be hoping his replacement, Roberto, fares better this week than in previous outings.

Pochettino is gone, Mourihno is in. English football was shocked at the swiftness of the decision and replacement. But here we are. Jose is back and will be looking to deliver Spurs’ first away win the PL in 12 games. It seems like a great game to start with, considering the opposition. How will the squad respond to the new man?

Prediction: Spurs to win – Jose will win his first game in charge to set the ball rolling in this new era for Spurs.

Arsenal v Southampton

  • Venue: Emirates Stadium
  • Saturday 23 November 15:00
  • Referee: Stuart Attwell
  • Quick Glance Odds H: 19/40 D: 15/4 A: 5/1

About the Game:

Arsenal are looking to finally win. They haven’t won in five games and now a top-four finish seems like a pipe-dream. Even so, they are unbeate n in 24 home league games against Southampton, and it seems like this one is a good one to get back on track.

Southampton haven’t won in their last seven, and have lost four in a row in all competitions. They aren’t playing well at all, and will struggle in this game too. A small glimmer of hope will be the fact that out of the seven points they have collected this season, seven have come on the road. We can’t see them adding to the tally in this one, though.

Prediction: Arsenal to win – They pull through with a convincing victory to ease some of the pressure on the team.

Crystal Palace v Liverpool

  • Venue: Selhurst Park Park
  • Saturday 23 November 15:00
  • Referee: Kevin Friend
  • Quick Glance Odds H: 6/1 D: 7/2 A: 4/9

About the Game:

Palace haven’t won in four PL games, and have lost three in that time span. Admittedly they have faced some tough opposition, yet it seems that this run will only get worse this weekend. A draw is the best they can hope for, but it is unlikely to happen.

Liverpool have won three games in a row at Selhurst Park and will most likely make it four this weekend. Their march to the PL title continued in force when they beat City 3-1 at home the last time out. They have a look of a team that will never give up, and until they falter it is hard to bet against them.

Prediction: Liverpool to win – It might not be pretty, but the Scousers will get a win in this one.

Brighton v Leicester

  • Venue: American Express Community Stadium
  • Saturday 23 November 15:00
  • Referee: Mike Dean
  • Quick Glance Odds H: 11/4 D: 13/5 A: 19/20

About the Game:

Brighton come into this game sitting firmly in mid-table. They have only lost one of their previous six home games against Leicester, but are certainly looking at superior opposition this time. Even so, they have no new injury concerns and will be looking to make a good game of it in this one.

Leicester have won four on the bounce, and are performing just as well as the team that won the Premier League in 2106/16. They are sitting second in the table and whilst they are free scoring with 29 goals they have only conceded 8 goals, and boast the league’s best defence. So much for Harry Maguire!

Prediction: Leicester to win – The Foxes are in form and will continue winning in this game.

Everton v Norwich

  • Venue: Etihad Stadium
  • Saturday 23 November 15:00
  • Referee: Anthony Taylor
  • Quick Glance Odds H: 3/8 D: 17/4 A: 13/2

About the Game:

Everton come into this game on the back of a much needed victory against Southampton. Bernard and Delph remain injury doubts, whilst Andre Gomes will miss the rest of the season following his awful injury against Spurs. It seems to be a game that Everton should win, but you never know with the Toffees.

Norwich are in abysmal form and now occupy the bottom place in the league. Pukki’s goals have dried up and they just haven’t lived up to the standard in the Premier League. Their away record stands at zero wins, one draw, and five losses. They simply need to improve if they don’t want to be relegated.

Prediction: Everton to win – Norwich are awful away from home and the Toffees should see this one out.

Watford v Burnley

  • Venue: Vicarage Road
  • Saturday 23 November 15:00
  • Referee: Paul Tierney
  • Quick Glance Odds H: 13/10 D: 23/10 A: 11/5

About the Game:

Watford finally won last time out to record their first win of the season to move up to 18th. Incredibly they are only 3 points off safety. Their home record is pretty terrible, with three draws and three losses to show for their efforts. They need to improve it quickly!

Burnley will see this as an opportunity to break their seven match winless run away from home. If there was a team to do it against, Watford would be it. Even so, we see a pretty boring an low-scoring game in this one. A draw wouldn’t surprise us and both teams will most likely be satisfied with such an outcome.

Prediction: Draw – This will probably be one  of the more boring games of the weekend and we can see a nil-nil.

Sheffield United v Manchester United

  • Venue: Bramall Lane
  • Sunday 24 November 16:30
  • Referee: Stuart Atwell
  • Quick Glance Odds H: 5/6 D: 13/5 A: 33/10

About the Game:

Few would have predicted that Sheffield United would be sitting fifth in the league after a third of the season had been played, but here we are! An incredible start to PL life for the Blades. They boast the second best defensive record in the league. They will be without first choice keep, Dean Henderson who is on loan from United, and this could be a big factor.

Manchester United are without Scott McTominay, Marcos Rojo, and Paul Pogba. A few other players such as Luke Shaw and Nemanja Matic face late fitness tests. Can United record back-to-back wins in the PL for the first time this season? We say no! The Blades will get one over in this one.

Prediction: Sheffield United to win – They will continue their impressive start of the season by winning in this one.

Bournemouth v Wolves

  • Venue: Vitality Stadium
  • Saturday 23 November 16:00
  • Referee: Simon Hooper
  • Quick Glance Odds H: 7/4 D: 23/10 A: 8/5

About the Game:

Bournemouth will have to win this game without their striker Joshua King who has been ruled out after getting a hamstring injury whilst on international duty with Norway. They may also be without Ryan Fraser who faces a late fitness test. They are unbeaten at home in five games and are on a decent stretch.

Wolves will be looking to extend their seven-match unbeaten run. It must be noted that many of these have ended in draws, and they boast a league high seven on the season. Wolves also love a goal, having scored in 11 consecutive PL games. This one could end in a score draw. But we think the Cherries may just snatch it.

Prediction: Bournemouth to win – A difficult game for the Cherries but one they will snatch the points in.

Aston Villa v Newcastle
Aston Villa Form Guide DDWLL
Newcastle United Form Guide LWDLL
  • Venue: Villa Park
  • Monday 25 November 20:00
  • Referee: Lee Mason
  • Quick Glance Odds H: 21/20 D: 12/5 A: 13/5

About the Game:

Aston Villa are slowly falling down the table and are now 17th just three points clear of safety. They haven’t beaten Newcastle in 12 league games and are desperate to fix that. They have lost three in a row, so the odds don’t seem to be in their favour. Nevertheless, the Magpies aren’t exactly world beaters and this is the kind of game Villa need to win.

Newcastle have had a mini-revival of sorts, having won back-to-back games and drawing the one before that. They are now in mid-table seven points above the drop zone. They will welcome back Florian Lejeune and Fabian Schar and this is good news considering that Jamaal Lascelles and Ciaran Clark are out for this one.

Prediction: Aston Villa to win – The Villans win to break their losing streak and move away from the drop zone.
