BetVictor Bookmaker Merges Desktop Site onto Mobile Codebase

BetVictor has promised a better user experience for visitors to its website after the bookmaker migrated their desktop site onto its mobile codebase. Reduced demand for the company’s desktop site has enabled the merging of the platforms.

The Gibraltar-based operator state that the switch will benefit consumers who will enjoy a “faster and more intuitive” experience when accessing the desktop site. BetVictor claim that the switch will enable them to increase the efficiency of the platform and enable faster product updates and product updates. Speaking about the changes, BetVictor director of products Eoin Ryan said he was “delighted” with the changes that the company had made, stating that the new website was slick and responsive. He added;

Ryan added that visitors to the website would notice improvements in speed and the availability of product features. One of the new products available to customers are “Smart Cards”, A modern take on the traditional racecards, Smart Cards update throughout the day and provide consumers with up-to-date information.

Developed in conjunction with Halifax based Timeform, who have provided sports data since 1948, Smart Cards provide a “constant stream” of updates as well as providing betting tips, trainer and jockey stats and other information such as draw biases. Ryan said the traditional racecards and horse racing products, in general, have remained relatively static and BetVictor introduced this new product to service the needs of consumers who demand real-time insights. He added that Smart Cards “really raise the bar” and provide customers with best-in-class racing experience.

Timeform business development manager Gillian O’Rourke said the company was delighted to be working with BetVictor and said she believed that “the Smart Cards product is set to be a huge success”.

Initially, Smart Cards were only available to mobile consumers, but BetVictor’s merging of their mobile and website platforms means the product is now accessible to all visitors.

BetVictor launching of Smart Cards coincided with the bookmaker’s new campaign entitled ‘See The Bigger Picture’ which features brand ambassadors Rachael Blackmore, Nicola Currie and Jamie Snowden.
